Maltby Lilly Hall Academy is a 'GOOD' School!
Our school has been commended by inspectors following a full section 5 inspection by Ofsted, who have rated the Academy a ‘Good’ School.
Our school, which was judged as ‘Requires Improvement’ in 2018, has now been judged as ‘Good’ in all areas with ‘respectful’ pupils who have ‘mature and focused attitudes.”
In a report published this week, Ofsted describes our school environment as ‘calm and caring’, with ‘passionate and determined leaders’, and pupils who ‘enjoy coming to school’.
During the inspection, Ofsted inspectors spoke to a number of pupils individually about the school. One child commented “It’s good at this school. We all get along together; we are all treated equally, and we get lots of opportunities.” The inspection report states that ‘pupils talk with confidence about their learning, answer questions well and use their vocabulary accurately.’
Ofsted describes our curriculum as ‘ambitious and well-sequenced’, with teachers who ‘expertly deliver the subjects effectively’, and ‘ambitious leaders who work well, in partnership with Trust members of staff, to provide a positive experience for all pupils.’
Richard Pease, Principal said: “As a school family we are absolutely delighted with the outcomes of our recent Ofsted inspection, it is the least our pupils deserve.”
“We are grateful to our dedicated Academy staff, parents and our amazing pupils for their continuing efforts and support. It is an extremely well-deserved outcome and this now provides a great platform on which to further improve and make Maltby Lilly Hall an outstanding educational provision for our pupils and the community.”
Maltby Lilly Hall Academy joined Maltby Learning Trust in March 2015, which allows them to work collaboratively with other primary schools in the Trust and share good practise to continually drive improvement.
David Sutton, CEO of Maltby Learning Trust, said: “It is a fantastic result and it is pleasing to see that the quality of support and education at Maltby Lilly Hall Academy has been recognised. We all now look forward to building on our success in the year ahead.”
